CBTS History
CBTS was developed in 2008 by the Competence Centre in Tourism Management and Tourism Economics TOMTE of the free university of Bolzano. The scientific coordinator Oswin Maurer and the TOMTE Members Michael Bosnjak, Serena Volo, Linda Osti, Gabriel Brida, Guenter Schamel, Stefan Schubert as well as Oksana Tokarchuk, Teresio Poggio (since 2012) introduced the conference in 2008 which held yearly in December place at Brunico / Italy. Step by step the CBTS community grew as the event had a very personal character allowing an intense exchange among the participant.
Furthermore CBTS always was seen as platform to encourage young researcher to present and discuss their current results, to offer workshops about research and analysis methods.
CBTS2016 in Brunico-Bruneck will follow this very successful approach and keep the personal atmosphere by limiting the number of participants to 100. A PhD session at the first day will be held in the tradition of supporting young researchers to improve and publish their results.
